The Tomix Koki 250000 Freight Car Green With Tail Light No Container N Scale is a precision-engineered model based on the high-speed container wagons introduced by Japanese National Railways in 1985. Designed to operate at 100 km/h and haul up to 1,200 tonnes, the Koki 250000 series was a modified evolution of the earlier Koki 50000 type. This model features the later green body variant for improved visibility and includes a functioning tail light mounted on the handrail side to simulate end-of-train operations.
The wagon is equipped with reinforced TR223F bogies and pre-installed handrails, reflecting its final service configuration before retirement in 2012. It supports three 12ft containers (not included), offering layout flexibility for modellers. Additional detailing includes a printed car number, silver wheels, and a constant lighting board, with a transfer sheet provided for optional renumbering.
